Incoherent
Scatter Radars have over the last 40 years developed to become the most powerful
ground-based diagnostic tool for studying the near-Earth space environment. In
this talk we will look at where we are today, and what are the scientific
challenges for the near future.
Biography
I am a PhD student at University of Tromsø, Norway, now spending a year at SRI International in Menlo Park. My theses work is on small scale plasma instabilities in the high latitude ionosphere studied by incoherent scatter radars.
