Dear Friends,

I am pleased to announce the following SPECIAL STAR Lab SEMINAR:

Friday,  January 13th           12:00-1:30pm    Durand 450 

We will have three different VIDEO presentations:

1)      Newly de-classified video of Nuclear Weapon Effects on the Ionosphere
         (the FISHBOWL video) (30-minutes) 
          to be shown by GEORGE HAGN 

2)      Video of Upward Lightning Discharge Observations from Summer 1994
        Ground-based observations (5-minutes)
        by  W. Lyons / MITRE corporation 

3)      Video of Upward Lightning Discharge Observations from Summer 1994
        Aircraft -based observations (5-minutes)
        by  D. Sentman/E. Wescott - Univ. of                                                         
                            
           Alaska 

I will do my best to describe the last two videos;  they are actually quite
self explanatory.  

I look forward to seeing you all at this special seminar.    A number of
our friends from SRI will also attend.
